My name is Fuji HAMILTON. Born in Shizuoka Japan. I work primarily in oil painting. My influences are Margaret Preston, Kiyoshi Yamashita, Van Gogh and others. I came to Australia in 2000 and now live in the Great Southern with my husband and children
I worked as a graphic designer both in Japan and Perth. Barry Mackie (a great teacher and artist!) taught me about oil panting when I moved to the Great Southern. I like to paint flora, still life and landscapes.
My theme is creating realistic compositions with playful colours also a convincing impression of light and shadows in the paintings.
