Barry has been painting for close to 35 years and in that time has participated in many exhibitions and won several awards for his work. Barry works mainly in oil but also enjoy mixed media, pastel and charcoal.

Heather Roberts
Heather is a local hobby artist born in this beautiful mountain country who has lived here for most of her life. Heather has always loved the mountain views and our wonderful colourful local wildflowers and birds.

Sue has lived and worked in the Great Southern since 2003. Sue feels lucky to be able to live in mountain country with such exquisite landscapes, world class flora and fauna at her doorstep.

Oil painting & ceramics are the two main forms of Åsa'screative expression, one often influencing the other. Nature is in its ever-changing forms is Åsa's main inspiration and of course, the beautiful Mountain Country.

Mountain Country and going back to her roots and passions, she is still inspired by her surrounds. Exploring in a variety of mediums; pottery, oil painting, watercolour, charcoal and scupture, basically anything that will make a mess.

I have become absorbed by the striking sunsets and the way they envelope my Mountain Country town in muted colours of an evening. Capturing this light in an intimate series of acrylic paintings is my way of celebrating once again being in my hometown.

After my retirement, my wife and I moved to Mountain Country. Once we completed the renovations on our 100-year old home and reviving a neglected garden, I enrolled in oil painting classes, as I always like to draw and had an interest in art.

I always loved art at school but for forty years I pursued a scientific career. During that time I collected paintings on a regular basis from all over the world. When I retired and moved from Perth to Albany ten years ago I met many of the wonderful artists residing in our beautiful part of WA.
