As a very young child I announced that I would be a car wrecker part time and artist part time… well thankfully I haven’t wrecked any car yet, but it’s true that creativity in countless forms and mediums has always been a part of my life.
We are all shaped by our lived experiences, the people we meet, the social and natural world that surrounds us and I’m no different; I am a migrant and adopted Mount Barker as my home in 1997. I am lucky to have made a life and had a family on a farm with the changing seasons and circle of life that comes with having animals keeping connected to the environment and what truly matters. I’m also a teacher, predominantly working with students with special needs, their unique perspectives on life, enriching and broadening my own.
Oil painting together with ceramics are my two main forms of creative expression these days, one often influencing the other. I’m a member of Mitchell House Art Centre and Plantagenet Potters and also periodically exhibit at The Art Chatter Gallery. My main source of inspiration is the ever-changing nature and of course, the beautiful Mountain Country I’m privileged to call home.
Embrace that we are all different, with unique strengths and quirks; we all have a role and a place in this great adventure called life. Please follow my journey!
